Outcome of Feasibility Study

07 2019

The work by Argyll & Bute Council, WYG and streets-UK in 2019 culminated in a Feasibility Study on an improved route for walking and cycling between Rothesay town centre and the joint campus on the southern boundary of the town.

The study identified that the most feasible route between the two was along High Street and Townhead. A concept design was also developed for the route which proposed a proposing a continuous shared use pavement. To deliver improved amenity for walking, cycling and wheeling, the next steps for the council was to identify funding to take the concept to a detailed design along the length of the route.
