Proposals for High Street and Townhead

During the course of 2021, a specialist team undertook technical analysis, engineering design and community consultation to prepare design proposals for walking, cycling and wheeling improvements along High Street and Townhead between the town centre and the Joint Campus.
A big thank you to everyone in Rothesay who contributed: schools, businesses and local residents. You can see a report of the community consultations here (1mb PDF).
The design proposals were submitted to Sustrans in Autumn 2021 by the Council as part of a bid for further funding to enable the next stage of design and construction.
