As we have all lived through, the COVID-19 pandemic upended pretty much every part of life. Efforts to control the virus and protect those most vulnerable, rightly, took priority. The proposals to improve walking and cycling along High Street and Townhead in Rothesay were therefore put on pause.
While it was on pause, the way we travel changed. For some priorities for the future changed too. For many that meant a greater appreciation of the outdoors on our doorstep, and walking or cycling more. For some, it meant choosing to travel in a way that allowed for social distancing or prevented household mixing.
